David Lichtenstein of The Lightstone Group Signs Long John Silver to 10-Year Lease Extension in Moosic, PA

MOOSIC, P.A. (Dec. 22, 2009) – David Lichtenstein, founder of the Lightstone Group today announced that Long John Silver Restaurant has signed a 2,210-square-foot, 10-year extended term on their lease at the Birney Mall Shopping Center in Moosic, P.A.

Long John Silver invented the quick-service seafood industry, opening their doors in 1969. They consistently set trends with menu items specially created to meet contemporary tastes.

“Long John Silver has been a wonderful tenant in Birney Mall,” said David Lichtenstein, CEO and founder of The Lightstone Group. “Their restaurant is a fixture here, and we’re glad to continue our good relationship with them. Birney mall is in a convenient location for the locals, allowing customers to move freely through the area.”

Birney Mall is located on 3409 Birney Avenue at the split of the southbound and northbound sections of Route 11, approximately two miles southwest of downtown Scranton. The 196,109-square-foot outdoor mall is also home to Kmart, Big Lots, Empire Beauty School, Greenwood Diner, Holiday Hair, Dino & Francesco's Pizza and Family Restaurant, and other retailers.
