The Lightstone Group Extends Lease With ShopRite At Monroe Plaza in Stroudsburg, Pa.
Supermarket Chain Remains As Anchor Store in Shopping Plaza

STROUDSBURG, PA. (June 8, 2010) – The Lightstone Group recently signed ShopRite to a five-year, 53,000-square-foot lease extension at its Monroe Plaza Shopping Center in Stroudsburg, Pa.

ShopRite at Monroe Plaza will continue to operate in the shopping center and be one of the area’s most popular grocery outlets.

ShopRite employs more than 50,000 people throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. Though ShopRite has grown from the small “mom and pop” stores of the 1940s, most ShopRite stores are still family owned and operated – many with second, third and fourth generations involved.

“We’re thrilled to continue working with ShopRite,” said Jeffrey Dash, vice president of leasing for The Lightstone Group. “They’ve been a long-term tenant in Monroe Plaza, and have enjoyed tremendous success in their tenure there. We anticipate a continued relationship with them in the future.”

Monroe Plaza Shopping Center is a 130,000-square-foot shopping center in Northeast Penn., and features tenants such as Eckerd Drugs and a host of small shop operators.
