THE LIGHTSTONE GROUP REPORTS STRONG LEASING ACTIVITY IN BATON ROUGE, LA

Baton Rouge, La. (May 7, 2009) - The Lightstone Group, one of the largest private real estate owners in the country, today announced 40,000-square-feet of long-term lease extensions at two of its properties in the Airline/Jefferson region of Baton Rouge, La.

BlueCross BlueShield, one of the top healthcare insurance companies in the nation, signed a 20,000-square-foot lease extension at 11965 Lakeland Park Blvd. This location will serve as a processing center. 11965 Lakeland Park Blvd offers convenient access to U.S. Route 61. Other tenants include Aladdin Carpet Mills and Louis & Co., a provider of wholesale cabinets.

At nearby 6565 Exchequer Drive, Sunbelt Supply Co., a world leader in the supply and distribution of manual and automated valve products, has extended its lease for its 20,000-square-feet. The location is primarily utilized as a warehouse and distribution center for their large inventory of equipment. Other tenants at 6565 Exchequer Drive include FedEx Ground Package Systems and Baton Rouge Electric Wire & Cable.
