THE LIGHTSTONE GROUP SIGNS 7-ELEVEN TO LONG-TERM LEASE AT BROWNTOWN SHOPPING CENTER IN OLD BRIDGE, NJ

OLD BRIDGE, N.J. (April 20, 2009) – The Lightstone Group, one of the largest private real estate owners in the country, today announced that it has signed 7-Eleven to a 10 year, 2,500-square-foot lease at the Browntown Shopping Center in Old Bridge, N.J. The center is strategically located on Route 516, a major east-west commuter corridor between Route 9 and Route 18.

The Browntown Shopping Center recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation that included a building facelift and enhanced lighting. The parking layout was also restructured and landscaped.

This retail destination, which has historically enjoyed higher-than-average occupancy, is anchored by a Drug Fair (soon to be a new Walgreens), in addition to Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers and Subway.

“7-Eleven is the world’s largest convenience retailer with 36,000 stores worldwide, making it an excellent addition to the Browntown Shopping Center,” said Jeffrey Dash, vice president of leasing for The Lightstone Group. “Visitors to the other retail tenants at the center will appreciate the convenience of this 7-Eleven, which will increase overall traffic and time spent at this shopping destination.”
